Roisin, Entrelac-ing In Tuscany

It looks like Roisin is marking her trip with entrelac...here is a photo Phil took, waiting for the ferry at Saltery Bay. Just a tiny, wee bit of an entrelac sock.

And here is the sock after many hours in airport terminals and on planes.
Roisin is using Danika's first edition specialty, hand-dyed yarn. She said the knitting paralleled her trip..."lumpy bumpy beginning, many false starts, then continuing on not really knowing where I was going and sort of getting the hang of it. Now... see where it goes."

And here is where she was yesterday...Roisin says she is in Montecatini, Tuscany...but why is the stop sign in English?! .  Apparently, no wool shop so far...

'Tis the Anglophoning of Europe, I'm embarrassed to say. Almost everyone here can converse somewhat in English while I only have a smattering of Italian. I believe I can even find a book at the bookstore in English. Almost finished the one I have, so may have to learn to read in Italian!

And I like that the Hotel Splendid is just around the corner.
