Petra's granddaughter will be showing off her knee-highs right about now. I'm
sure all her friends are jealous.
Another cozy pair of socks by Petra, using Regia yarn. (Yes, I know there's only one sock in the photo but trust me, there are two). Perfect 'guy' socks, aren't they?

Elly's First-Day Socks
Elly's perfectly matchy-matchy'd Regia yarn socks for her great grand-daughter's
first day at school. We bet she was noticed! Beautifully knit, as
usual...sigh....!

Elly's Super Socks
Elly's great-granddaughter will be starting grade 1 in style with these self-striping Lana
Grossa knee highs. Her next pair is on the needles, and will be in fluorescent yarn. Roisin says Elly can knit a pair a minute, or so it seems.
Nice work, nice choice. G-Grandaughter will be proud!

Hilary's Projects
Hillary got out without Hunter (AKA the Loopy Lounge Poster Child) for a knitting treat. She indulged
herself in sock knitting and got all the way to the heel and beyond. Amazing
what mums can accomplish when kids are sleeping. These socks will keep Hilary's
toes cozy this winter.
Another of Hillary's projects: this sweater is being knit top down in the
round with Uptown Worsted.
We're looking for another colour to put a stripe in the sleeve, maybe. What do you think? But, you will notice her when she's wearing-of-this-green.

Sockistas Saga
Suzan showing off her beautiful new sox and her own design for legwarmers, knit with Diamond Lima. She's also found a nice way to keep them from slipping down. Great combo.
94 -And Suzan's new sock journey, toesies just making their appearance. Can't wait to see this yarn knit up.

Suzan's Sox
AND...another finisher, Suzan. She completed a pair of sox she's been working on for awhile. This yarn was a local hand- dyed sock yarn by Danika. Beautiful when knitted up, don't you think? Watch for this member of the 'Abbie Hoffmann' band showing these socks off.
Lisa's Sox
Maybe 2016 is the year for finishing projects. For the record, Lisa DOES finish projects, and here's the proof. Ta da!
It's a gorgeous pair of socks knit in On-Line Vegas. They'll be nice and warm in this weather. Congrats Lisa (aka teacher's pet) we are looking forward to sharing more finishing moments with you.

Karen's Sox
Let it snow tra la laaaaa as long as we have sox to knit...Karen
starting off 2016 on a snowy day (as you can see), learning the Sockista Method - which is a 'Roisin Knits' unique
method, knitting a pair of sox together on 2 circular needles. There's a spiffy video on You Tube...just search for 'Sockista Method'.
Karen needed the sox for her hike home but didn't quite get them finished in one day. She got home anyway.

Sock Quartet
Sockistas are still knitting up a storm or two or three.
Starting left to right...Laura has
found her knitting kniche! The pink and grey socks are only her second pair and we're
already copying her pattern. Very nice work, Laura!
Then Lisa's very colourful (and she got the LAST ball of that yarn) nice striping
effect. Lisa, of course, is now an experienced sock knitter and will be
dazzling us from now on with her creations. We're not sure if these ones will
be up to the knee or over the knee or?? Stay tuned.
Sue's sock knitting skills are developing quickly too. She has combined two balls of sock yarn to make these socks toasty and dense. Interesting to see
how the colours are coming together now. More special work coming from
Sue...
And here's Roisin's Sockista contribution....doesn't look all that exciting. You'd have to wear them to appreciate. But you can't as these were knit for daughter Triona, using one
strand of silk and alpaca, and one strand of cashmere, silk and possum. Oooooo. They feel
fantastic and we'll have to wait to hear what Triona thinks. All natural fibre and the intention is that the silk substitutes the nylon for strength. Roisin reports it was hard on the
eyes, knitting with such dark yarn and fine strands, but daughters are worth it,
aren't they?!!

Denise's Baby Outfit
Denise's Baby Surprise Jacket, the cutest socks and hat. Knit with Australian
Merino, made in Italy. Soft and cuddly already and the baby isn't even wearing
it!
And fashionable for sure.
UPDATED: And the buttons are from Jill at Functifyd Creations. They look great.

Sue's Almost Socks
Sue showing off her "right at the heel" Drops Delight socks. And...we're all happy 'cause Sue's happy with this pair.
Lisa's Stripey Socks
Lisa's 6th (we think) pair of socks on the needles (and a cute yarn bowl). She just gets better and better. This pair is going to be long enough to show over top of her boots. Let us know if you spot them in a week or two.
Brenda's Socks
Brenda's bright Drops Delight socks on the needle although at this moment she was struggling with her twangled scarf. Her very first pair. Keep knitting Brenda!

Edward's Socks
Edward casting off using Sockistas' Special Crochet Cast-off (all
credit goes to Mary-Lou who taught it to Roisin) These socks were finally put in
Canada Post's clutches, heading eastwards.

Socks In Waiting
Margo and Hilary working on their socks. We're still waiting for Hilary's baby. Hilary is too of course....but she has to finish those socks!

Brenda Beginning Socks
Brenda, new Sockista, is learning the invisible cast-on with the "Edward" twist. She's knitting her socks with Drops Delight in lovely bright colours for winter. We like the colourful glasses too.

Gina's Never-Ending Socks
Gina has finished (at long last) her very own pair of socks. She has had some time off for shoulder stuff. We're thrilled to have her back at Sockistas on Tuesdays. And, then, there's this great pair of socks! Sadly, the yarn she used Regia is long gone. But the socks remain to remind us...and they are definitely in the same colour family as Roisin's never-ending socks.
Roisin's Never-Ending Socks
Yes, Lisa, Roisin DID finally finish these never-ending sox from the never-ending Sockistas class. Her niece Lori's partner Richard will be receiving them in Campbell River shortly. Only a year or maybe a bit less in the making. The yarn was his choice--male fashionistas take note!
