Ooooo! This looks like it will be an amazing event! GBOW pal Kevin Wilson is organizing a Fiber and Fabric Weekend. Must register....before January 10, the cost of the weekend is only $99 (but check out all the options via the link below).

This full weekend of workshops and classes will expand the possibilities for fiber and fabric arts and crafts in your life, with hands-on sessions on all kinds of different topics:

Vivica's Woven Scarf

This is Vivica's hit at the Fine Arts Sale.  It's a beautiful woven scarf with mohair and silk Debbie Bliss yarn and Ribbon Yarn.  Delicate and oh-so-pretty.

Birthday Weaving

This is a nicely woven piece, Louisa Harding sparkly mohair, and other 4 different yarns....Roisin can't remember them all, but they all work well together, as you can see. And it was to be a birthday gift--lucky recipient! 

Judy's Full Ensemble

Judy with her Diamond Galway Chunky hat and her gorgeous handwoven tweed jacket.  New in stock...these beautiful attach-anywhere-to-anything buttons, one of which adorns Judy's hat. From New York, doncha know.

Judy would fit right in on the NYC street fashion scene. Very stylish. 

What The Well Dressed Mannequin Wears

No wonder this mannequin head has her eyes wide open and her lipstick on!  She is clothed in the finest!   This is another example of Marlaine's skillful use of yarn, this time weaving, and again with Malabrigo sock yarn. She's hooked, can you tell?  Two skeins were used for this lovely wide scarf/shawl and it feels fantastic too.  
"Empress of Hats" (Lynda) made the Noro Lite hat, and underneath the scarf, at the bottom, you can see some of Danika's handspun art yarn peeping underneath as well as Mano Artesenas (the bright blue).

Marlaine's Woven Scarf

Not all things made with yarn from the store end up being knitted or crocheted. The multi-talented Marlaine wove this scarf, using many kinds of yarns. She has fastened it with one of the wooden picks available for sale at the store.
