Laurie's Colourful Felted Handbags

Laurie is another new knitter - and this is Laurie's first handbag project.  The yellow is Chan-Chan, Diamond Luxury all veggie dyes.  This bag had an interesting journey to get to this point.  The purple was a superwash so did NOT felt at all.  The original bottom was made with it - so it sagged.  We devised a way of re-knitting the bottom with the yellow chan-chan and re-felting.  Bottom is now solid and bag works well.  Laurie embraced the learning curve and this is the result. 

And this is Laurie's knitted felted bag #2, made with again with Chan-Chan, all veggie dyed yarn (turns your hands purple!) and Queensland Bella.  Laurie's work will be on display at her Savary Is store this May.
