Bill's Project

We aren't privy to what Bill's project is...but he clearly has it well underway, and is keeping it on the boil in the kettle (am I the only one who wonders if Bill is a leprechaun?). There he is, knitting away in the Loopy Lounge this afternoon, all alone! He said it was lonely. Remember you can hang out with yarny people any afternoon in the Loopy Lounge.

Bill's making a Baby Blanket, starting from the corner. Sort of an extra large dishcloth....see more reasons to get really proficient at dishcloth knitting.
Research I did on 'Leprechauns' eons ago (so there could be new information) was that they originated in Hollywood in the Disney movie "Darby O'Gill and the Little People".
Having spent most of my childhood in rural Ireland I heard many stories of the little people, the banshee and various and sundry others, but never a leprechaun, though they were well represented in the tourist shops, made in Japan.
Maybe they were more prevalent in another part of Ireland, or maybe they are yet another Disney fantasy?

Good to know! And just in time for St. Patrick's Day.
