Felted Owl

Hey everyone look at what Belinda made! Is it cute or what??? It's a little needle felted owl ๐Ÿ˜€
I L๐Ÿ’—VE it!!! Would you like to make one too? Belinda is offering a class on making this little cutie on Dec 22 from 10 am until noon. The cost is $30.00 and that is inclusive. So it covers your instructions and supplies.
So today I thought I would tell everyone a little bit about all of the cool stuff we have here at GBOW for needle felting ๐Ÿ˜ We actually have quite a bit. I will start with fiber. Look at this! The bags with the white labels are called the Junior Shepard needle felting kits and they have everything in them that you would need to make your own little flock of needle felted sheep! Also in this picture you can see our 1lb bags of multicolor wool bits. They are a great deal and would be enough wool to keep you needle felting for quite some time as most needle felting projects are quite small...

That said we also have little bags of fiber in tones of colors. Pictured below are little bags of roving pieces so you can buy small amounts of roving in an assortment of colors.

we also have these little leopard colored paper bags of roving...

and these small plastic bags of colored roving...
so as you can see there is a wide selection of fiber available for your needle felting projects.

Now in this picture we are getting into tools. We have a decent selection of tools too. Pictured here is a Fiber Trends Kit that contains a foam block to work on and a selection of felting needles and the green thing beside it is for holding down small bits of fiber while you poke it with your needles so you don't poke yourself in the finger! A very handy tool I might add! Speaking from experience.

This next photo is kind of a wide angle shot of the bigger Fiber Trends Kit which has a larger foam block and needles and fiber and more plus a peek at all the goodies on the shelf which I will get into in the next photo...

Ok so in this photo you can see a variety of tools displayed, at the top of the photo is a brush block which serves the same purpose as the foam block but it has a hard plastic back on it so you cannot poke right through it into your leg like you "might" do with foam... just sayin... you "might"... not that I did or anything, at least not often...
Also there are some cool tools for holding more than one needle at a time which I would highly recommend if you have a lot of area to cover! It would definitely make the job go quicker. I have heard from needle felters with arthritis that these tools are a life saver and make the biggest difference
And last but not least the needles themselves!!! We have a great selection of good quality needles. You can buy the ones that go with the needle felting tools, those are on the left, or you can buy stand alone needles in different gauges as suits your preference on the right.

Okay so that's our selection of needle felting goodies that we have here for your perusal ๐Ÿ˜Š
hope you pop by and check it out!
Or come in and make a cute lil Owl and try needle felting for the first time and see if you like it!
Until then...
๐Ÿ’–Happy Kitting๐Ÿ’–
