Ernest J. Monkey

Alane finished "Ernest J. Monkey" earlier this week. Is he a sock monkey? He's not made of socks despite the look of the gray yarn. To get the tight weave needed, all yarns were doubled and knitted on a slightly smaller needle than the yarn suggested. 

He is seen here with his buddy Angus. The photo shoot ended badly. Bad Angus.

Ernest will be adopted by Alec, Alane's grand-nephew, at Christmas time.

Madeleine's Octopus

There are headless models are GBOW...and then there are Octopus Heads. This one was knit by Deirdre for her daughter Madeleine using Sirdar Baby sparkle yarn.  Lots of it!  Madeleine looooves her Octopus - doesn't go anywhere without him ( Not sure its got a gender identity).
