Maura And The Snarf

And here is the origin of the Snarf. Roisin's daughter Maura modelling the Snarf mum knit for her.  It was Maura who spotted the design on the recent visit to Montreal Roisin, Triona and Maura did in July.  What daughters want Mums knit, right?
One ball of Ella Rae Mega was used.

Deirdre And The Snarf

This is the latest GBOW winter design, The Snarf (Snood/Scarf hybrid) Our model is Deirdre, and it looks good on her!  This pattern takes two balls of Chunky Yarn.  Come  in and check it out.  The pattern is available free with purchase of yarn.

More of our Snarf on Deirdre and still looking good.

Introducing The Snarf

Feeling of winter in the air??  After such a hot sunny summer we're going to feel the chill, BUT not if you're wrapped and cozy in this!! It's an EASY KNIT and Roisin's latest creation, brilliantly named by Brenda "The Snarf".... a Snood/Scarf combo
Knit with Ella Rae extra chunky, a one-piece no-sew hood, top down.

Dorell's Peace Scarf

Also knit by Dorell, this 'Peace Scarf' was knit with Chunky Marble.  Oh-so-clever Dorell used her feather and fan pattern and made it reversible.  We're sure the recipient of this scarf will feel the love.

More Chunky Marble

Hmmm, I believe this is another Carola effort using Chunky Marble for a hat and scarf set.  It might be the new brown and pumpkin colour of Chunky Marble we have recently in stock. (There are many great colours of this yarn).

Maureen's Scarf

Here's Maureen looking cozy in her scarf knit with Big Delight. She looks festive too in her red jacket. I'm sure she is enjoying her scarf during this cold spell. Cold, but gorgeous, right?

Lisa's Lovely Projects

Lisa (aka teacher's pet) is turning out project after project.  In this one she is knitting with 2 mohairs and producing a lovely patterned scarf, light as a feather.  Pretty ....much admired by all.
And yet another 'Sock-by-Lisa' using her creativity to add unique colours when she feels like it.

Clever Maria

John modelling his newest hat knit by very clever knitter, Maria.  This is knit in sideways using short-rows.  It looks like crochet...but it's NOT!  Yarn is one of Maria's faves, Chunky Marble.

And Maria's great long scarf, knit with 100% bamboo = no itch.  The photo doesn't do scarf justice.  We love her choice of stitch for this yarn.

Brenda's Infinity Scarf

Brenda P. has knit this lovely infinity scarf with Diamond Select Chroma which is 100% wool and very reasonably priced.  We like the colour changes in this yarn too.  Less than 2 skeins makes the scarf.

Donna's Projects

Donna with her scarf in a 3-tone Willow Tweed by Louisa Harding.  Very pretty and works well with the yarn, AND it's a no -itch Alpaca, Merino and Silk.

Donna's gloves with a now discontinued yarn.  Gorgeous pattern on lovely hands...and a cool mani.

Karin's Scarf

Karin - who didn't want her head chopped off - modelling her absoutely fabulous Malabrigo wool scarf. This colour is called "snowbird", and it's not a superwash. Karin says it is incredibly soft, no itch factor at all.  The scarf is her own totally unique design. Very nice.

Maureen's Scarf

Maureen's clever choice of pattern for this Chunky Marble scarf, a diagonal garter-sort-of. It brings out the colour and texture so well.  Congrats Maureen, you're brilliant!

Kim and Brandi - Hats & Scarves

Two from the "Catch up" file.... the blue hat in the slightly blurry photo is happy Kim, showing off her Malabrigo Hat and scarf.  Fortuitous or good planning that Kim was wearing earrings that went so well with her gear!
And this is Brandi showing her Malabrigo hat and scarf which were a Christmas gift.  Nice felted flower touch, and a perfect Malabrigo choice for her colouring and complexion, don't you think?  Brandi has taken up knitting herself and will be showing off a Malabrigo shawl/poncho on her next trip here.

Mary's Work

Malabrigo shines in this pattern, chosen and knit by Mary.  The pattern "Burberry Inspired Cowl" is by Julianne Smith, (aka Garter Girl) and is available through Ravelry or the Garter Girl website

More from Mary.  On the left, a diagonal reversible scarf, knit with Wisdom Poems and on the right, a Malabrigo hat....all gorgeous.
