Thank you, Roisin, for opening GBOW three years ago....the yarn-loving residents of Malaspina Peninsula are darned lucky (and I expect just as grateful as I am) that you decided to embark on a retail adventure at a time in your life when many people are retired. And we are also lucky you know so much about yarn and knitting, and that you stock GBOW with such great yarns and accessories, and that you have Lynda as your sidekick, and that you provide a friendly and welcoming place to hang out. So much to be thankful for!

Happy anniversary, GBOW! Little did I suspect when crossing from Comox to Powell River that I would discover, not only a fellow-Irishwoman, but someone of the same age who went to school round the corner from me and shared the same friends!
Best yarn shop ever. I'll be back, I'll be back. Never mind the miles and the broad Atlantic, I'll be back!
