Fall Classes & Workshops

So sorry to use that F word ("fall") but with the Labour Day weekend upon us, there is no denying that Summer is going to end soon. The mornings are darker, and the breezes a little cooler. 

Which means, of course, our thoughts turn to yarns and creating woolly things! And we can help you create, whether you are a novice, expert, or muddling along in the middle. 

Day, Evening and Weekend slots are available. Please pre-register by calling or dropping by the store
Dates and times to be determined by you! Customer requests and preferences will be accommodated as best we can.  Ask us if there's a class or workshop you'd like and it's not listed.  

For all classes we expect you to purchase your yarn at Great Balls of Wool (well, we do have fabulous yarns, don't we?)

Newbies:  Continental knit, Beginners Crochet
Next step from Newbie:  Knitting:  Slouch Hats, Creative Scarf,  Monthly Spa Cloth (aka dishcloth) class. Crochet:  Bum Warmer, Apple cover
Experience Needed:  Knitting:  Slouch Hats,  Entrelac, Baby Surprise Jacket,  Tea Cozy,  Baby socks (magic loop knitting method), fingerless gloves
Knitted + Felted:   Handbag, Slippers, Baby Booties, tea cozy
Challenging:  (Yes, you can do it!!) Two-Tone "No-Sew" Baby Hoodie, Knit a pair of socks together toe-up on 2 circular needles, Magical Moebius Journey, learn Cat Bordhi's cast-on method, knit a cowl, scarf or...?

Fees:  

Continental knit, Beginner's Crochet, Baby Surprise Jacket, All Knitting Felting Classes, Two-Tone 'No Sew" Baby Hoodie, Fingerless Gloves,  - $50.00 for 4 - 2 hour lessons
Monthly Spa Cloth Class - One day a month, 2 hrs, $25.00,  

Creative Scarf - one 3 hour workshop, $30.00
Crochet Bum Warmer, Entrelac  - $50.00, 3 lessons, Apple Cover, 2 hr workshop, $25.00

Socks on 2 circ. needles, and Magical Moebius, $75.00 for 4 - 2 hour lessons
Help sessions:  $10 per hour for yarn purchased @ GBOW  and $20 per hour for yarn purchased elsewhere
Finishing Techniques:  $25.00 per 2 hr session
