Baronial Slippers For Bob

Roisin made these slipper socks for her son "Big Foot" Bob using Nigel Pottle's design he did for a Skacel contest which we posted about last week, here. Roisin used 100g Sirdar Worsted with Wool (75% acrylic yarn), and made a longer rib than the pattern calls for--because she had the yarn.
Now the slippers are on their way to Oz and Bob!

The pattern is available at the store, or as a free download here.

Wow, these socks look great. Thanks for knitting them, Roisin. Now I feel famous. It was fun designing these socks - especially since I had a limited amout of yarn (we could only use one skein). Glad to see that others don´t have that problem.

They were fun to knit too. The stag horn cable kept it interesting, seeing it grow. Also, a different heel technique than I'd used before.
Will get a report on how they fit soon.
