GBOW Nominated for Chamber Awards

Great Balls of Wool has only been in existence for 13 months so it was an honour for the store and Roisin to be nominated in several categories for the 2012 Powell River Chamber of Commerce Horizon Business awards. The nominations come from the community at large, and Chamber members make the decisions.
The categories were:

• Employer of the Year
• Customer Service - Retail
• Small Business of the Year
• Beautification Award

Lynda, Roisin,  and their spouses attended the Awards dinner on February 3. GBOW did not win but the nominations are recognition that GBOW is valued for its contributions to the retail community of Powell River in general, and to the Marine Avenue business area specifically.
